Chapter Four Bolton Presentation

Observe:
This presentation used the opposite white writing on a black background. There were many quotes from Bolton, a graph, and visual aids. I felt that there could have been a greater use of visual aids and perhaps a video. There was a clear flow of information and understandable quotes. The examples that were used were able to be understood by our audience. If anything there was some repeating of information, but that also could have contributed to a greater understanding. It wasn't as visually stimulating as I would have liked, I felt that they could have taken more of an advantage of 'prezi'.

Infer:
This chapter of Bolton's book discussed how writing spaces today are getting back to the classic medieval ways. There were images on this 'prezi' that showed the audience how this was so. In our society we are stimulated by many visuals in our newspapers, magazines, and in online articles. In the electronic age, text is becoming more and more visual. Reading things online is not simply reading an article anymore, we are constantly being bombarded with visual and alternate forms of information. Overall the use of more visual media is getting more and more visually stimulating. We are moving further away from "classic" text and moving more towards a visual and media filled age.

Questions:
     1. Why did you set up a white text and a black background for your quotes?
     2. What were you trying to have the audience take away from this presentation?
     3. Do you agree with how Bolton feels about our society's change in visual aid back towards a more "medieval" feel?
     4. Will the future continue to change our way of reading and seeing visual aids?
     5. What is your definition of a visual aid? Can it have any writing?
     6. Will your audience remember your words from your presentation?
